Where to start?
It’s tricky knowing where to start. As a celebrant myself, my favourite way to find new couples is at wedding fairs. This is because for me it is all about the personal connection.
In the absence of such an opportunity, the next best way is to have a look online at various profiles. Each celebrant is different with their own styles.
I’ve listed below 10 ways to begin your search.

The Celebrant Directory: With over 1,000 celebrants across the UK, The Celebrant Directory is one of the largest and most comprehensive directories available. You can search for celebrants by location, ceremony type, and more. According to their website, they receive over 2,000 unique visitors per day.
The UK Society of Celebrants: is an association of independent celebrants offer a directory of members that you can search by location. According to their website, they have over 700 members across the country.
The Fellowship of Professional Celebrants: is a UK-based organisation for professional celebrants. They offer training, certification, and a directory of members. According to their website, they have over 500 members across the UK.
Hitched: a popular wedding planning website that has a directory of wedding celebrants in the UK. You can search by location and ceremony type. According to their website, they have over 5 million monthly visitors.
Rock my Wedding: features a directory of recommended wedding celebrants in the UK, as well as a range of other wedding planning resources. According to their website, they receive over 500,000 monthly visitors.
Bridebook: another popular wedding planning website that features a directory of wedding celebrants in the UK . You can search by location and ceremony type. According to their website, they have over 1 million registered users.
Magpie Wedding: offers couples a list of suppliers who specialise in delivering weddings that are Eco-Focused. They offer an ‘Eco Wedding Collective’ full of like-minded wedding celebrants who are UK based and put sustainability at the heart of everything they do.
Facebook: You can search for independent wedding celebrants in the UK on Facebook. Many celebrants have Facebook pages where they share information about their services.
