An Elegant Wedding Ceremony-London

An Elegant Celebrant Ceremony:

Pembroke Lodge, Richmond.

Michelle is the most incredible celebrant! She is so enthusiastic and loves what she does, which just injects love and passion into the entire process
— Laura Emery

Laura and Mark married on the 11th November, 2023 at the stunning Pembroke Lodge, in Richmond Park, with a beautiful and deeply moving celebrant ceremony. Their special day was perfection from start to finish and, my goodness, they were so lucky with the weather! The most stunning, late Autumn afternoon with evocative hues of deep mauve, rustic orange and chestnut browns providing a truly captivating backdrop to their wedding, as they said their ‘I do’s’ in front of 150 of their family and friends.

Their ceremony was one I’ll never forget and I felt truly honoured to share their wonderful story with their loved ones in what turned out to be a very emotive ceremony.

Laura and Mark met during Covid-19. When the world was at a standstill, they developed a deep connection initially online and then through socially distanced first dates. This formed a solid foundation for their relationship which later flourished as the end of lockdown opened their doors (quite literally!) to shared passions in travel, food and adventures in cold water swimming. As I shared their love story we entertained guests with their amusing online exchanges, their sweet proposal story and their shared dreams and visions for the future.

Curating a Bespoke Celebrant Ceremony:

Their Personal Touches included:

  • Two readings were shared throughout the ceremony from Laura’s best friend and Laura’s niece.

  • Mark’s second daughter was the ring bearer for the ceremony.

  • The groom’s mother and bride’s mother acted as witnesses, signing a special celebratory certificate

  • The ceremony included live music from the wonderfully talented, Tom Figgins

  • During the ceremony I honoured family and friends who had travelled far and wide to be there. We spoke about Mark’s three daughters acknowledging that the ceremony was about the coming together and blending of both families.

  • At the start of the ceremony, we took a moment to honour Mark’s father who had recently passed away as well as other key family members.

  • The ceremony was heavily charged with emotion and many happy tears were shed. That said, we managed to keep the ceremony script uplifting and joyful, with lots of gentle humour weaved within the stories I shared.

  • The couple shared personal and moving wedding vows and promises with each other.

We had quite a lot of poignant elements we wanted to include in the celebrant speech, such as family bereavements and my own breast cancer diagnosis, and Michelle covered these so beautifully in a way that was touching and moving but still emphasised the joy of the occasion. She also injected heaps of humour into her speech and made everyone laugh so much.

Celebrations and Confetti

Laura and Mark’s wedding ceremony was most definitely a true celebration, in every sense of the word. We celebrated loved ones, children, god children, nieces; we cherished all the wonderful memories they’ve made together as a family (kitchen discos, pet names and funny accents) and set intentions for the all the new memories they would create on their journey together as husband and wife.

Please do get in touch to find out how I can curate your own wedding ceremony and evoke memories to last a lifetime.
